Granular is a collaboration with Viola Yarns, using their Shadow DK, a British sourced wool. This triangular shawl features bands of interesting textures and a unique construction. The shawl is started from the top centre and worked diagonally for the right half. Stitches are then picked up to be worked sideways, creating the left half of the shawl, causing the bands of texture to appear at a different angle.

Techniques Used: Knit, Purl, Increases, Twisted Stitches, Yo and Picking Up Stitches

Instructions: Written

Yarn: 927 yds dk weight
Needles: 4.5mm circular or straight needles

The Mistake Lace Shawl is the ultimate head scratcher, for knitters who like a challenge and zen repetition simultaneously. Although it is a one row pattern, it’s based on sequence knitting theory, so the repetition causes the stitches to misalign in a way you’d never expect! It creates an extremely lightweight fabric, using a very small skein of yarn from Riverside Studios - the single skein of Merino Singles Lace only weighs 57g.

Techniques Used: Knit, Purl, Decreases and Yo

Instructions: Written

Yarn: 412 yds lace weight
Needles: 4.0mm circular or straight needles
